Freedom - and a little vanity...

Glasses may have come a long way as a fashion accessory, but they are still an accessory most would choose to do without. And what's wrong with just a hint of vanity?

Helen, ever-wise to such a common – and such a very human – foible, did not shrink from telling it like it is when she was asked what she liked best about her new freedom. “Vanity,” was all she said, and all she needed to say for us to nod understandingly. “Everyone wants to look good, and I just never felt like my best self when I was wearing glasses. They’re fine for some, but I’m quite pleased that I no longer need them.”

Helen after laser vision correction - a new beauty without glasses.
